According to the Finnish Air Force, one of its Hawk aircraft crashed on Monday, and both crew members bailed out of the jet and are unharmed.

The accident occurred in the town of Keuruu, which is located in central Finland, around 140 kilometers north of the capital, Helsinki.

The BAE Hawk is an aircraft. Finland has just lost one of these devices. The BAE Hawk is a British trainer plane that can also serve as a light fighter. According to the Finnish Air Force’s website, the Hawk, produced by the British company BAE Systems, is a single-engine, two-seater jet used for training.

These machines, which were constructed in quantities of around 900, are in service with the air forces of 18 nations, including Finland. The Finnish Air Force had 75 of these planes.

There are two members on the flight crew: a pupil and an instructor. The BAE Hawk has a wingspan of over 10 meters, a length of 12.4 meters, and a height of nearly 4 meters.

The machine, which has been in production since 1974, has a top speed of Mach 0.84 (1,028 km/h), a ceiling of 13.5 km, and a range of 2.5 thousand miles.
