ULEZ: Thousands of fines for breaches of London’s ultra-low emissions zone rules may have been sent illegally to owners of EU-registered vehicles, according to Belgian authorities
An investigation into alleged criminal breaches of data rules had been launched after drivers received fines from a collections agent acting for Transport for London.
Since Brexit, UK authorities are not supposed to have access to the personal data of EU citizens for non-criminal enforcement.
People in several EU countries have received fines, however, for failing to register their cars with TfL before driving into London. /TelegraphNews
