Drone strike in Moscow causes structural damage to many structures

According to officials, a drone strike in Moscow caused minor damage to multiple structures. Sergei Sobyanin, the mayor of Moscow, stated there were no significant casualties.

He stated that emergency personnel had arrived “at the scene of incidents.”

It is still unclear where the drones used in the attacks originated.

Smoke was observed in the sky of Moscow, according to photographs shared on social media. Broken windows of buildings were evident in other photographs.

According to Sobayninn, several residents have been evacuated. The BBC reported an explosion northwest of Moscow at 06:24 a.m. local time. A few minutes later, another explosion was heard.

The Moscow drone strike comes after an overnight drone attack in Kiev, Ukraine, in which at least one person was murdered.

According to Ukrainian officials, many structures were engulfed in flames, and Ukrainian air defenses destroyed more than 20 drones.
