The author of the attack on the Faculty of Philosophy in Prague is suspected to be 24-year-old David Kozak. Police have revealed that the killer’s father, a 55-year-old man, was found dead this morning in a village in central Bohemia.
According to what Prague police chief Martin Vondrasek reports, the student was inspired by the massacre that happened abroad. From the images shared on social networks, he appears to enter the university with a heavy weapon, dressed all in black, and acting with his face uncovered.
Local media reports that the young man had warned of the attack in a Telegram post.
“I want to attack the school and most likely kill myself. Alina Afanaskina helped me. I have always wanted to commit murder, I even thought that I might become a maniac in the future. It is more profitable to make a mass attack…I sat and waited and dreamed.”
This is the content of the post from Kozak is reported to have made before the attack.

Alina, whom he mentions in the post, is the 14-year-old attacker who on December 7 of this year opened fire in a school in Bryansk, Russia, where two students were killed and five others were injured.
As a result of the attack, at least 15 people lost their lives and 30 others were injured. Nine of them are in serious condition. Among the victims is the author himself, who is suspected of having returned the weapon from himself when the police arrived at the scene.
In an attempt to escape the attack, some students got out of the windows and “sheltered” on the ledges, some others were locked in the classrooms. It is also reported that in an attempt to escape, one of the students fell from a height and lost her life.
