Voting is underway in the parliamentary election as the Law and Justice (PiS) government bids for a third term in office and sees off a challenge from former PM and EC President Donald Tusk
The polls opened at 7 a.m. local time on Sunday morning, and voting will continue until 9 p.m. CET when exit polls will be published.
Current polling suggests a knife-edge race, with both PiS and Tusk’s Civic Coalition’s ability to form a government likely to come down to the results of smaller parties.
The vote with have huge ramifications for the whole of the bloc.Â
