According to Chinese media, President Xi has pledged Moscow Beijing’s help in areas of “key interests” between the two nations.

China and Russia have increased their economic and political relations in recent years, getting even closer following Russia’s invasion on Ukraine, despite Beijing’s claim that it remains “neutral.”

According to the Chinese news agency Xinhua, Xi assured Mishustin that China and Russia would continue to provide each other “strong support in their key interests and strengthen cooperation in multilateral arenas.”

After the greeting ceremony at the People’s Palace in Beijing, Mishustin met with Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang, to whom he stated that “the ties between China and Russia are at a very high level.”

According to Chinese customs figures, China is Russia’s greatest commercial partner, with commerce totaling $190 billion last year.

During the sessions, the two nations’ ministers inked a number of agreements for business cooperation in sports and grains, according to the Xinhua news agency.
