Donald Trump explained he will attend the civil trial of alleged business fraud in New York on Monday “to fight for my name and reputation” while criticizing New York AG Letitia James and Judge Arthur Engoron for the probe
James has led a year-long investigation into Trump’s business practices.
He is suing him for $250 million for allegedly lying in financial statements, while Engoron already ruled against Trump for deceiving banks and insurers.
If Engoron’s ruling is upheld after appeal, Trump could lose control of assets such as Trump Tower, a Wall Street office building, golf courses, and a suburban estate.
