Drone strike at night in Kiev

Overnight, a drone strike was conducted in Kiev by Russia.

Eight Shahed drones built in Iran and three cruise missiles that were shot down, according to the Ukrainian Air Force, were used in the attack.

Three homes were damaged and one person was hurt as a result of the attacks.

There is a genuine threat to the Zaporizhia nuclear power facility as the violence rages on the ground.

President Zelensky asked for penalties on Russia’s state nuclear business Rosatom and increased international attention to the Zaporizhia plant, Europe’s largest nuclear facility.

According to the president of Ukraine, Moscow is prepared to attack the plant.

Because Russia is theoretically capable of inciting a small-scale explosion at the plant that may release radioactivity, he claimed, “there is a serious threat.”

The successes of the Ukrainian offensive against the Russians have prompted President Zelensky to raise his expectations for potential peace talks with Putin.

“Ukraine will be prepared for an agreement when we regain our boundaries as they were in 1991,” Zelensky stated. “The borders of February 24 are not our borders.

Russia invaded Crimea in 2014 after Ukraine earned independence from the Soviet Union in 1991.

Although Russia claims ownership of the peninsula, the annexation is not recognised by Western governments.
