“Putin remains strong,” Orban says, adding that peace in Ukraine is in the hands of the United States

Sending Western weaponry to Kiev is a mistake, according to Viktor Orban, who believes Ukraine will lose the battle with Russia and dismisses the idea of Vladimir Putin being deposed soon.

In an interview with the German newspapers Bild and Welt on Tuesday, Hungary’s prime minister claimed that Wagner’s rebellion was “not a big event” based on intelligence reports, and that “if the uprising against Putin had succeeded,” it would have been a clear sign of weakness, but the fact that it was completed in 24 hours was a sign of strength.

You are aware that Putin is the President of Russia.

Those who believe it will fail or be replaced do not comprehend the Russian people or power institutions. Russia operates differently than other European countries, he claims.

Orban asserted that Putin will remain Russia’s president in 2024.

“This is the reality,” he explained.

“Russian structures are very stable.” It’s a military-oriented country, thus they rely on the military, secret services, and police.

Remember that Russia is not a country like ours. It’s a different universe.

Structure and authority are not the same thing.

“If you try to understand how they work from our perspective, you will always be deceived,” he stated.

Orban believes that because Ukraine would no longer have soldiers, it will lose the conflict with Russia.

“I don’t want to sway Ukrainians, but I am always in favor of peace, because otherwise there will be many victims, they will lose prosperity, and unimaginable disasters will occur.”

What matters most is what Americans want to accomplish. Ukraine no longer exists as an independent state.

They don’t have any money or firearms. They fight because we in the West back them up.

“There will be peace if Americans decide they want it,” Orban stated.
