Arab powers urged Israel and Hamas to agree to a deal, cease-fire, and hostage release outlined by US President Joe Biden.
Under US President Joe Biden‘s proposal, fighting would stop for an initial six weeks and hostages would be exchanged for Palestinian prisoners before a phase of Gaza reconstruction begins.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stressed that the fighting would have to stop temporarily to free the hostages and that Israel still plans to destroy Hamas.
