Armenian combatants in Karabakh, according to Russia, have begun disarming

Russia has announced that Armenian fighters in the breakaway region of Nagorno-Karabakh have started to give up their arms

This comes after a ceasefire was agreed between Armenia and Azerbaijan on September 20, following a heavy Azerbaijani offensive.

The ceasefire agreement also includes the deployment of Russian peacekeepers to Nagorno Karabakh.

The Russian peacekeepers have already arrived in the region and are overseeing the disarmament of the Armenian fighters.

The disarmament of the Armenian fighters is a key part of the ceasefire agreement.

It is seen as a way to prevent further violence and to help to establish a lasting peace in Nagorno Karabakh.

The Russian announcement that the Armenian fighters have started to give up their arms is a positive sign.

It suggests that the ceasefire agreement is holding and that both sides are committed to peace.

However, it is still too early to say whether the peace will be lasting.

There are still many challenges that need to be addressed, such as the return of refugees and the status of Nagorno-Karabakh itself.
