The leader of North Korea, Kim Jong-un, after the test for the launch of the intercontinental ballistic missile “developed against the USA”, has announced that his country will increase the missile and nuclear weapons capacity

According to the Central News Agency (KCNA), Kim made the remarks after watching the test launch of the Hwasong-18 solid-fuel intercontinental ballistic missile “designed to hit the US.”

In his statement, Kim pledged to strengthen his country’s missile and nuclear weapons capacity and said the test was a “part of his country’s self-defense efforts against irresponsible US and South Korean military actions.”

According to the North Korean leader, security on the Korean Peninsula is “seriously threatened by enemy forces”.

He added that a series of more powerful military moves will be launched “against the imperialist US and the American puppet, South Korea” until they give up their “hostile policies” towards North Korea.

North Korea’s ballistic missile tests

In the statement issued by the General Staff of South Korea, it is said that North Korea yesterday around 10:00 a.m. local time launched a long-range ballistic missile from near the capital Pyongyang in the direction of the Sea of Japan.
